Understanding The Dangers of Damaged Glass

When I noticed a few chips in the windows of my home, I didn't worry too much about how it would affect anything. Instead, I mainly focused on how it made my home look, and I secretly cursed the unsightly damage. However, those small chips began to grow until there were large cracks. After having that experience, I decided to dedicate myself to spreading the word about the problems associated damaged glass. Read this blog to find out how damaged glass could affect you and your family members.

Updating The Master Bath: Changes That Make A Big Impact

Maëlyne Fleury

If you want to turn your master bath into a modern space that you go to for relaxation, there are several ways you can update the space. You don't have to redo the entire bathroom to make a big impression; instead you can just make a few of the many changes listed below.

Paint Or Stain

You can paint the cabinets in the bathroom a fresh coat of white or cream to brighten the space, or if they are real wood you can sand and stain them. You can do the same with any other woodwork around the bathroom.

Tile Shower

Tiling your shower is a great way to update your bathroom. First remove the plastic insert or the old tile that was in the shower. Seal off the insulation and all of the boarding of the house if you can see any, and then hang tile board. You will secure tile to the tile board using grout and that will become the new outline for your shower. Small mosaic tiles or large ceramic tiles from floor to ceiling look modern and light, and they are easy to clean.

If you have a bathtub that was separate from the shower, you can tile a backsplash around the bathtub so it looks the same as the shower.

Clear Glass Door

People are no longer choosing fogged glass that hides whoever is in the shower; instead they are opting for clear glass doors that look like they're floating. Pick out the shower door you want and have it installed by professionals like Alabama Glass Works Inc to make sure it won't fall off track and shatter or get damaged.

Stone Counter Tops

You can get vanity tops that are ready to be delivered and put on your vanity from stone shops. A nice granite, marble or quartz counter top is perfect to make the space look like a high-end bathroom. Stick with light colors if you want to keep the bathroom bright, but choose dark or bold options if you want to make a statement.

Hardware And Lighting

Updating any old gold or brass hardware will also make the space look more modern right away, and new lighting can make a big impression.

You don't have to gut the entire bathroom and start from scratch if you want a master bath oasis; just replace a few of the most noticeable items and then enjoy the fresh space.
